ATLANTA (May 2026) — Technology Association of Georgia’s TAG Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed), in partnership with WorkSource Atlanta, under the Atlanta Department of Labor and Employment Services, launched the Workforce Accelerator Program to support dislocated workers across metro Atlanta. The four-week program combines in-person and virtual learning to prepare participants to successfully re-enter the workforce through structured job readiness training, career coaching, digital skill development, resume preparation, networking opportunities, and employer engagement.
The program is designed to accelerate employment outcomes while helping participants develop skills aligned with current workforce demands across the Atlanta metro area.
The program will serve 40 dislocated workers between May 8 and May 29, 2026, through a hybrid format that combines virtual instruction with in-person workshops and employer engagement sessions.
The Workforce Accelerator Program was developed to address ongoing workforce transitions impacting industries across the Atlanta region. As technology adoption and economic shifts continue to reframe workforce needs, the program focuses on helping participants reinforce transferable skills across industries, improve workforce readiness, and develop modern job search strategies.
Participants will complete training modules covering career management essentials, professional skills, digital literacy, and AI fundamentals. The program also includes workforce trends and emerging career opportunities, skills identification, resume writing, mock interviews, employer panels, and career coaching to support employment placement outcomes.
The program’s performance goals include a 90% completion rate, 100% participant completion of resume and interview preparation activities, and an employment placement target of 70–80% within 90 days of program completion.
