In today’s rapidly evolving business environment, effective technology leadership is more critical than ever. Our program is designed to equip mid-level managers and newly appointed VPs with the essential skills and insights needed to navigate and excel in their roles.
Program Overview
Technology Leadership Playbook is designed to provide practical, contemporary leadership techniques to help navigate current issues facing technology leaders and executives. The course explores current topics using case studies, recent articles and research, and practical examples of IT leadership dilemmas that require critical thinking and decision-making tradeoffs. A graduate certificate will be attainable for those who complete all six courses of the program.
Upon completion of this 6-week program, participants will:
- Enhance their portfolio with essential technology leadership skills.
- Decide between Project or Product management methods for agile program delivery.
- Develop and maintain executive presence with their leadership team, peers, and external partners.
- Best practices for minimizing risks associated with enterprise (ERP) initiatives.
- Possess a distinction and appreciation for the balance between innovation, risk taking, and consistent results.
- Understand the importance of cultural diversity as it relates to building high performance teams.
- Gain new tools for cultivating strong, partner-centered relationships with key suppliers.
Participants may register for courses individually, or for the entire program.

Learning will be achieved through a mixture of experienced CIO facilitation, discussion with peer level IT thought leaders, excerpts from books on technology leadership and some situation problem solving or case work. Learning sessions will combine assigned readings with discussions, experiential exercises, and situational role-playing and problem solving.
Program participants are expected to:
- Participate actively – ask questions, make observations, share experiences
- Listen with intent – seek to understand
- Maintain the confidences of others and oneself
- Come prepared – ready to engage
- Cameras On (Required) – to receive certificate credit, participant cameras must be on for the duration of the session.
To receive the TLP certification, the participant must register and attend all six courses.
- Orientation (Oct. 2, 2024) – 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m (EST)

Each course will be held virtually from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. (EST).
- Course 1 (Oct. 9, 2024): Product vs. Project mgmt. mandates for Agile development.
- Course 2 (Oct. 23, 2024): De risking ERP and Enterprise implementations.
- Course 3 (Nov. 6, 2024): Transitioning vendors into your strategic partners.
- Course 4 (Nov. 20, 2024): Building diverse teams with strong culture for collaboration.
- Course 5 (Dec. 3, 2024): Innovation and Taking Calculated Risks
- Course 6 (Dec. 17, 2024): Building and Sustaining Executive Presence
Total Cost for Certificate Program: $1500
- This fee covers all 6 courses.
- Enrollment fee must be paid in full before the start of the program.
- All 6 courses must be attended in order to receive the Technology Leaders Playbook Certificate.
Discount for TAG Members:
- TAG members are eligible for a 10% discount on the total enrollment fee.
